Mount Barker Outdoor Living & Caravan Expo brings adventure to the hills

October 16, 2025

The Mount Barker Outdoor Living & Caravan Expo is set to make its debut at Summit Sport and Recreation Park, an exciting new event that celebrates outdoor adventure and the growing lifestyle culture of the Adelaide Hills.

Running over three huge days from 14 to 16 November 2025, the Expo will showcase the latest in caravans, campers, trailers, boating and marine and outdoor accessories – everything you need to make the most of the great outdoors.

Twilight Friday – A family-friendly, affordable start to the weekend

The excitement kicks off with Twilight Friday on November 14, open from midday to 9pm. For just $5 entry (free for kids under 16), visitors are invited to bring the family and enjoy the expo and all it has to offer alongside live music, kids’ activities, interactive cooking demos, and a feast of food trucks to choose from.

Guests can also relax at the bar and soak up the festival atmosphere as the sun sets over the Adelaide Hills.

“We really want the Friday to be something special”, said Matt Hilton, CEO of GTR Events, the team bringing the expo to life. “Whilst we have all the big-name brands and hundreds of caravans and campers on display – the Friday is all about creating a relaxed and welcoming environment that captures the feeling of outdoor living in the hills – like sitting around a campfire with friends”.

Weekend Adventure Awaits

The fun rolls on across Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 4pm, when the expo continues as an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise. Visitors can explore a huge range of leading brands and expert exhibitors, discover the latest gear and innovations and take advantage of exclusive show-only deals.

Proudly Supported by Local Partners

The inaugural event is made possible thanks to the strong support of the Mount Barker District Council and event sponsors including Adventura Caravans and Mars Campers, both with new or soon to open showrooms in the region, showcasing the strength and growth of the outdoor lifestyle industry in the region and South Australia in general.

“We’ve had incredible backing from the Mount Barker District Council, as well as Adventura Caravans and Mars Campers,” Hilton said. “Their support reflects the enthusiasm for events that help drive local business, tourism and industry growth.”

Mount Barker Mayor David Leach said the Expo is a welcome addition to the region’s growing calendar of events.

“We’re thrilled to welcome the Outdoor Living & Caravan Expo to Mount Barker. It’s a fantastic addition to our events calendar and a great opportunity to showcase Summit Sport and Recreation Park as a premier venue for large-scale gatherings in the Adelaide Hills.”

He said the Expo would bring a range of benefits to the local economy.

“Events like this bring real benefits to our community. They support local businesses, attract visitors to the region, and highlight the incredible lifestyle opportunities that make Mount Barker such a great place to live and explore.”

Mayor Leach said the event was a natural fit for the region stating “this event captures the adventurous spirit of our region. The Adelaide Hills is the perfect backdrop for outdoor living, and it’s great to see an event that celebrates that lifestyle right here in Mount Barker.”
